No Show/Cancellation Policy 

Gull River Veterinary Services is committed to providing the best possible care to all our patients in a timely fashion. When a client cancels with little to no advance notice, or fails to show to their appointment at all, they prevent another patient from potentially being seen. For this reason, we have implemented a Cancellation/No-Show Policy for all surgical and medical appointments.

Appointment Cancellations/Rescheduling

  • If you must cancel or reschedule your pet’s appointment, we request a call, or email, at least 1 business day before their appointment. This allows us to accommodate other patients who are seeking medical care.

  • Cancellations, or requests to reschedule, that occur with less than 1 business day notice may be subject to a $50.00 +HST non-refundable charge.

  • We understand that unforeseen circumstances can occur. Please don’t hesitate to contact our Client Care Team for further assistance.

No-Shows

  • “No Show” appointments refer to a missed appointment wherein the patient was scheduled, did not appear for the appointment, and made no prior contact with the clinic staff (call or email). No-shows may be subject to a $50.00 +HST non-refundable charge.

  • We understand that unforeseen circumstances can occur. Please don’t hesitate to contact our Client Care Team for further assistance.

Surgery, Sedated Drop-Off & Dental Procedures

  • Surgeries, sedated drop-off or dental procedures must be cancelled or rescheduled 3 business days (72 hours) prior to the scheduled date. Cancelling or rescheduling without providing such notice may result in a $150.00 +HST non-refundable charge. Some exceptions apply.

  • We understand that unforeseen circumstances can occur. Please don’t hesitate to contact our Client Care Team for further assistance.

 

Late Appointments

  • In the event a pet parent arrives more than 10 minutes after the start of their scheduled appointment, we will do our best to assess the day’s schedule and see if there are options available, so that the veterinarian can still potentially see your pet the same day

  • This is on a case-by-case basis and dependent on the day’s schedule and availability.

  • If the veterinarian cannot fit your pet in on the same day, the appointment will be rescheduled accordingly.

  • Multiple incidences of late arrival to one’s appointment may incur a cancellation fee.

Pre-Paid Deposits

  • In the event that repeated incidences occur in which a client cancels with little to no advance notice, or fails to show to their appointment at all, clients may be required to place a non-refundable deposit on their account to hold their appointment time. This deposit will be held as a balance on your account and applied at the time of the appointment, if the appointment is successfully kept.
